Long Tail Cast On
Making sure you have enough tail end yarn to cast on the desired amount of stitches. Place the slip knot on the needle. Wrap the tail end around your thumb, anchoring it with your pinkie finger. Wrap the working yarn around your pointer finger and anchor it with your middle finger. Instert your needle through the bottom of the tail loop on your thumb. Catch the working yarn on the pointer finger and then draw it back down through the tail loop on the thumb. Slide the tail loop off your thumb.
