Make One (M1 or M1O)
Insert left handed needle into the leg between the needles, going from front to back. Now insert right hand needle into this leg and knit. One stitch increase has been created along with a small hole or eyelet which may be desired. If a hole is not desired in the increased work, refer to M1R or M1L. Often the use of either three is at the personal discretion of the pattern designer.
